As he begins to divulge more family secrets, Shatta Wale builds momentum to face his mother’s charges. As a result, he holds his mother responsible for his difficult childhood because she left her marital home.
Mama Shatta, whose real name is Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, accused her son of abandonment and maltreatment, which caused her to become homeless. She also described how poorly Shatta had treated her despite her efforts to ensure his success.
In a counter-narrative, the dancehall star has accused his mother of sabotaging his family’s aspirations to improve their circumstances. Shatta Wale, in typical Shatta Wale manner, raged about his family’s suffering as a result of his mother’s greed.

“I come from a broken home. My mother had abandoned my father. Let me tell you something, people. In Ghana, when I was in SHS 1, we studied thirteen topics. I’m not a factory or a machine that needs to master thirteen subjects every day. As a result, I informed my father that I would be unable to complete my education.
My father then intended to move the family to Miami (USA). My father was the one who originally introduced me to Miami. I used to travel to London and other cities when I was a kid. He’d acquired a job in America and wanted to move his family there. My mother abandoned my father, my sister and brother. She scoffed at the proposals. She fled and abandoned my father. My father tried everything he could think of. “God is on our side.”
“If I say something and people don’t comprehend it, I realize I’m really mature,” Shatta Wale concluded. Our lives had become a living hell. Have you ever seen a Dada Bee become a gangster? I’m a tycoon. My entire life has revolved around hustling.”
He also stated that he has not abandoned anyone in his life. And the only way someone could refute that claim is through ungratefulness.
“My father has a lot of money, but I give it to him.” I stand by my father, mother, and everyone else in my life. People, on the other hand, do not show gratitude,” Shatta Wale said.
